The 4CX250B valve is a ceramic and metal version of the earlier glass and metal 4CX150A. It can operate at a higher temperature and therefore has a greater heat dissipation rating (250 Watts vs 150 watts). The 4CX250B is a compact forced-air-cooled transmitting valve, that can operate into the UHF band (to 500MHz). It is also used in audio amplifiers for modulating transmitters.
