This triode valve is popular with golden-eared Hi-Fi addicts for low-powered audio amplifiers. It was popular in amplifiers such as picture theatres in the 1930s. It has a 2.5 Volt filament, preferred to the later 6A3 with a 6.3 Volt filament. Note the double-plate construction, for better cooling.
