This unit is an RF preamplifier, using a 6AK5 valve. It was created after WWII to generate interest in and sales of equipment for the 28Mcs and 54Mcs bands.
This unit has the 28Mcs plugin coil assembly, containing coils for input and output circuits of the preamplifier. They are shielded from one another.
There was also the 54Mcs plug-in coil assembly.
The dimensions of the plug-in coil assembly are the same as those used in the Kingsley AR7 receiver.
