This is a special purpose calculator for aircrew. On the Calculator side, the outermost scales form a general purpose slide rule, while a series of windowed scales allow solution of problems involving time, speed, distance, fuel consumption, fuel weight, altitude, airspeed, Mach number and temperature rise. The other side is a trigonometric calculator allowing flight planning with forecast winds, finding winds in flight, headings and air and ground speeds, and wind components for takeoff and landing.
