Original blazed diffraction grating ruled on aluminium for use as a wavelength selective mirror in a wide aperture TEA CO2 laser.
The retroreflected wavelength was selected by rotating the grating in the Littrow configuration. The grating is still mounted in the holder used in the laser. A large micrometer screw (now missing) accurately adjusted its orientation.
