This auto-transformer has multiple taps, selectable by a 12 position rotary switch, to provide a variable output. The maximum input allowed is 350V AC or 0.35f, where f is in Hertz, whichever is the lower.
It was used in a high sensitivity tiltmeter used by Prof Frank Stacey's group in geophysical measurements. see item 147.
