A variable resistance comprising ten 100 ohm resistors in series, to give resistances 100 to 1000 ohms in 100 ohm steps, selectable by the wiping switch.
Could be combined with similar units 1-10 ohms, 1000 - 10 k ohms etc for use in bridge and potentiometer circuits.
