The apparatus consists of one fixed dumb bell with unequal masses each end attached to the central axle, plus two rotating dumb bells with equal weights at the ends, each on separate pivots attached to the central axle. The whole assembly rotates on the central axle, which travels slightly along a circular support as it rotates. The whole assembly is driven by an electromagnet in the base.
