The Sensitrol relay is based on a d'Arsonval meter movement with a sensitivity of about 30 µA. It is designed to indicate when an audio source is outside amplitude bounds, whether higher or lower. The meter needle strikes lower and upper contcts when out of bounds, triggering external monitoring circuits.
