This meter has a 270 degree d'Arsonval movement, 1 mA FSD. The central movement core has been magnetised radially. A single half-loop moves in the magnetic field. The movement is damped by an aluminium disc roatating between the poles of a permanent magnet. The movement could be driven by a series of DC pulses or by the DC output of a mechanical RPM trnasducer.
